ALBUM OF THE MONTH: Moonsorrow – Jumalten aika (April 2016)

Moonsorrow - Jumalten Aika

It was another tough decision to make this month but after a tremendous performance in Dublin recently (a live review can be found here) the choice was clear with Jumalten Aika, the 7th album from Finnish Pagan metaller’s Moonsorrow. Fusing their folk/pagan styling’s with old-school Scandinavian black metal, Moonsorrow have created a larger than life album that sucks you in, takes you on a journey that will leave you wanting to jump right back in again. A special note to the production job, a break from the usual brick walled high compression, every instrument is given room to breathe and adds real depth to the music.
