ALBUM OF THE MONTH: Lacuna Coil – Delirium (May 2016)

Lacuna Coil - Delirium

Lacuna Coil are one of my all-time favourite bands since discovering them 10 years ago. While their more recent efforts have had some inconsistencies I’ve always stood by them. Delirium feels like a band reborn (perhaps due to losing half their line-up since previous album Broken Crown Halo), they are heavier and more confident in the music than ever before. What stands out the most, however, is the concept around Delirium it’s just so intriguing, as co-vocalist Cristina Scabbia stated  “It’s not just a record—it’s a place that’s open to everyone who feels different and damaged and misunderstood because we’re all the same“.
